Bargain Sleuth Book Reviews

My name is Jennifer (just like the 13 other girls in my graduating class and most of the rest of Gen X), but you can call me The Bargain Sleuth. I’ve been reading and writing my whole life. I grew up on Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden and Newbery titles and anything I could get my hands on. I wrote stories all the time, too. All my teachers said I had a knack for conversational style, so that led me to go to school for journalism–broadcast journalism, in fact.

I ended up working as a DJ in high school and college, and at a local TV station writing the news and even did a stint at the local newspaper before being laid off.  I also worked at a bookstore/coffee shop and spent some time working at a local library. About ten years ago I started writing my own website as a consumer advocate, hence the name the Bargain Sleuth. I’m always looking for a deal, especially when it comes to books!

I live in Green Bay, Wisconsin, home of the 13-time World Champion Green Bay Packers, with my husband and four children. I work at an internationally-known company in their e-commerce department, writing copy among many other things.
