Music Monday is a meme that was created by Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek. You pick a song and/or video and share it on Mondays to change things up a little.
I haven’t done a Music Monday since Christmas since Drew took some time off of blogging, but now he’s back. And just a few hours ago I saw a Facebook post by Shaun Cassidy mentioning that today is his brother David’s birthday. So I picked a David Cassidy song to feature.
Growing up, two syndicated shows were staples for me in my middle and high school years: The Monkees, followed by The Partridge Family. I am not ashamed to admit that I like middle-of-the-road music, as well as a bunch of other genres. And despite the bad rap The Partridge Family got in the music industry, you have to admit David Cassidy could really sing the crap out of that bubblegum music.

One CD in our collection is The Partridge Family: The Definitive Collection. (Amazon) Since his passing, I’ve learned to appreciate his talent even more and am sad that I missed the one chance I could have seen him perform in the 1990’s because the show was sold out. But we also have the Complete Series of The Partridge Family (Amazon) and can watch all 96 episodes at anytime.
