#BookBloggerHop: Is reading a fixed part of your morning or evening routine?

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.

Is reading a fixed part of your morning or evening routine?

I read almost every night before bed. We eat dinner, and depending upon the time, I hang out with my husband until 6pm, when Family Feud and Two and a Half Men come on because my husband likes those shows. Sometimes I stay and watch a bit, but more often than not I head upstairs and read until 8:30. Then, if they’re not done, I yell at the kids to get to their chores, and watch some sort of documentary, usually streamed off Amazon or the PBS app.

On the weekends, I sometimes read during the day, but that makes me less than likely to read at night. I seem to only have a few hours worth of reading in me per day. Long gone are the days when I could read for hours on end. My family obligations keep me from doing that anymore.

What about you? Do you have a daily reading routine?

  1. I tend to read in the evening rather than watch TV and will read for a short time in bed – well apart from when it’s a really gripping book and then I read far, far too late!

  2. I know what you mean about family obligations keeping you from reading more. I like to read before bedtime too. I hope you have a great weekend!
