The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.
Question:
What book or series can you see getting made into a movie and not being horribly re-written?
I think The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary or her other book, The Switch by Beth O’Leary are great books that would make great rom coms. I also think Royal by Danielle Steel would make a great movie; there have been numerous adaptations of Danielle Steel books for television and they stayed true to the novels.
As for ideas for TV series, see last week’s blog post here, which gives three examples of book series’ that I think would translate to the small screen.
What do you think?
Yes both Beth O’Leary’s books would work really well on the screen!

That’s a good answer! I couldn’t think of one when answering this week’s question. So much goes into translating a book into a movie and in the right hands it can be great, in the wrong, not so much. I hope you have a great weekend!

Great choice. I do a think a rom-com is most likely to be done well, though there are always some changes that need making between page and screen.

I haven’t heard of either of these but I do like rom-com movies. Have a great week!
