Music Monday is a meme that was created by Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek.  I saw it at Carrie’s Book Reviews and _For Book’s Sake. You pick a song and/or video and share it on Mondays to change things up a little on the blog.

Harry Connick Jr. has been a favorite of mine since When Harry Met Sally came out in the late 1980’s. Everyone was comparing him to Frank Sinatra, which is a compliment, but Harry was actually a child prodigy who had been performing for years and cut his first album when he was something like 13. He wasn’t just a singer, he was a songwriter, musician and performer.

I think I have all of Harry’s CD’s, but most especially the three Christmas CD’s: When My Heart Finds Christmas (Amazon) (AbeBooks), which came out when I was in college, Harry for the Holidays (Amazon) (AbeBooks) and What a Night! (Amazon). They are all in regular rotation of my vast Christmas music collection, right along there with Bing and Frank and Dean and Nat.

And here’s a more recent rendition, done when Harry Connick Jr. had his own talk show. I normally don’t watch morning TV after the news, but when Harry was on, I watched. I loved his show.
