It’s time for WWW Wednesday. This was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and brought back by Taking on a World of Words.
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
1. What I’m currently reading:

I’m still working my way through Lake Wobegon Virus audio book. I’m taking my time, because it has been so long since I’ve listened to Garrison Keillor. Now that he doesn’t have a weekly radio show, I have to rely on his Prairie Home Companion audio books (I bought them all a few years ago) and the audiobooks of his novels. A lot is changing in Lake Wobegon, and the same Midwest humor is still there.
I’m also working on JFK: Coming of Age in the American Century, 1917-1956. This is part one of a two-part biography. I’ve read more than 50 books on the Kennedys, and it has been quite a few years since a historian has offered a biography of John Kennedy. A lot of new material has been released for historians and the public to pour over, like personal correspondences, so I’m keeping my eye out for something new and original in this book. This book isn’t a straight biography, it reminds me more of Robert Kennedy and his Times, taking in to account what was going on in the world at the time.
2. What did you recently finish reading?

I just finished American Royals (see my review here) and American Royals II: Majesty, the duology YA novels about an alternate universe where George Washington’s family holds the throne of America.
I also revisited The Case of the Missing Marquess, the first Enola Holmes mystery (only $2.99 right now on Kindle). I read it years ago, as I generally read anything Sherlock Holmes pastiche, and really enjoyed it. I wanted to refresh my memory before watching the movie on Netflix. (see my review of both here)
3.What do you think you’ll read next?

I’ve been waiting for Jackie and Maria: A Novel of Jackie Kennedy & Maria Callas and finally have my hands on it. I’ll read anything about the Kennedys, good or bad, so I guess that makes this week’s WWW Kennedy-themed.

Oh, you got the Logevall book! I can’t wait to hear how you feel about it! I loved Nigel Hamilton’s Reckless Youth and was always sorry there was no second volume.

I haven’t read past the first one, and I’m not sure why I didn’t, other than I think motherhood got in the way for a few years, so I’m going to read the rest of the series as soon as I can.

It’s been a while since I’ve read a biography. It’s incredible how we keep finding more and more information as the years go by. Happy reading!
