Music Monday is a meme that was created by Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek. I saw it at Carrie’s Book Reviews and _For Book’s Sake. You pick a song and/or video and share it on Monday to lighten things up a little.
For this week’s song, I’ve picked the theme song to one of my favorite James Bond films, “Live and let Die,” performed by Paul McCartney at Lambeau Field in 2019. Some parents take their kids to the zoo, we took our four kids to see a freakin’ Beatle live and in person on the hallowed grounds of Lambeau. My husband and I had seen Paul McCartney at Miller Park in Milwaukee a few years prior, and said if he ever played Lambeau Field, we’d take the kids. Because in our house, books aren’t the only thing that’s important to us, so is music. It was a concert for the ages. (This is not our video, but someone who was sitting in close proximity to us.)
When you were young and your heart was an open book
You used to say live and let live
(You know you did, you know you did, you know you did)
But if this ever-changing world in which we live in
Makes you give in and cry
Say live and let die
(Live and let die)
Live and let die
(Live and let die)
What does it matter to you?
When you got a job to do
You got to do it well
You got to give the other fellow hell
You used to say live and let live
(You know you did, you know you did, you know you did)
But if this ever-changing world in which we live in
Makes you give in and cry
Say live and let die
(Live and let die)
Live and let die
(Live and let die)

To get Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let Die,” I suggest his compilation, “All the Best,” which you can get by clicking here. Or you could go with the soundtrack to Live and Let Die, which is available here.
